TIPS

Below are some tips we have come across in our research. We haven't tried all of them but they make for interesting reading - let us know if they work, or send us yours and we'll include them.

CELLULITE

  • Avoid salt & sugar, as this will improve the appearance of cellulite.
  • Massage daily with a good quality moisturiser to help breakdown toxins that are stored in fat.

DETOX

  • Reduce caffeine & alcohol intake & take a supplement like Milk Thistle to aid the liver functions for elimination. Skin will become clearer, and brighter.
  • Dry brushing the skin prior to showering removes dead skin cells, stimulates blood flow and the lymphatic system. Always brush towards the heart and use a natural bristle brush. Follow shower with a cool rinse to invigorate and stimulate blood to the surface.

COLDSORES

  • Try taking lysine daily to help your body fight cold sore outbreaks.

DARK CIRCLES

  • Dark circles & uneven skin around your eyes can occasionally be due to congested kidneys. Drink 2 litres of water daily to combat this.
  • Cleanse inside & out: drink green tea daily for anti-oxidant protection & put your used chilled teabags over eyes for 10-15 minutes to reduce puffiness, tension & dark circles great for hayfever or hangover suffers.
RELAX
  • Stressed skin (eczema/psoriasis) comes from within. Achieve inner balance with yoga, meditation or massage and a diet rich in vegetables, oily fish, fibre (to eliminate toxins & waste) & plenty of water.
  • Use cooled rosehip teabags on sore areas of skin for instant relief.
  • Always de-stress with regular massage or acupuncture, and avoid spicy foods, alcohol, caffeine & cigarettes.
